  1. It's amazing what people will believe. Earlier this week, there was a section on BBC Radio 1 about what people had believed because of their parents telling them when they were children. Apparently a common myth is that Sir Walter Raleigh introduced patatos to Britain.

    This made me think about opportune moments of Gullibility. When you're a child, you are learning and you don't know any better. So when you're learning, your susseptable and when you have no idea on the subject you can only believe what you are told.

  2. I think you've made a crucial point Rednose. When we are innocent and vulnerable we can be taken for a ride. It also links to stuff I'm on with this week to do with leadership. (see Leaderswedeserve blog in blog roll) Murray and Tudor in their ace book mention about 'learner dependency' that state where learners 'defer' unduly to what they regard as authority on a topic.
